Awesome thoughts! I know you’ve had some exciting adventures in your life, full of variety and adventure. And you are one of the wisest ones out there. I think I’m going to keep striving for more wisdom 🙂

I have started several businesses and helped my father secure patents for the production of edible mushrooms. I brought a brand of recycling equipment to the Pacific Northwest and have failed at all these ‘businesses’. But did I really fail? No. Not in my mind. The experience was exciting and it takes courage to forge ahead especially on an ‘idea’ and then start building a platform to support this ‘idea’. You are a courageous man….. failure was not the result but instead…. wisdom.

Taking risks is the only way to put yourself out there and see what you can really achieve. You can’t take a risk without a possibility of failure, but no failure is ever a complete waste – unless you fall into the unproductive path of self-loathing and try to forget anything ever happened. Failure is never a wasted effort if you can use what you’ve learned from the experience to strengthen future attempts. It’s disappointing when you don’t achieve the goals you were seeking, but I think you’re on the right track when you step back and look at what went wrong and how you can progress in the future.

Best of luck on future projects 🙂

*mofo

A typo on an abbreviated swear word is an unusual occurrence for me. Perhaps it says something about my use of vocabulary 😛
